Expertise Needed

A few days ago I was booked IAD-SFO on an A fare.
Long story short, I missed my flight, called reservations on the way to the airport and they re-booked me on the next flight.

When I checked in I asked about upgrading back to F (two cabin). I did end up back in F.

I checked my account today and see that it posted as an M fare and to add insult to injury, they pulled certs from my account for the upgrade.

My other concern is that I need the full-fare miles to post for UGS re-qualification.

Do I have any options to get this corrected in any way?

Well, first off, I am not GS and therefore don't know what kind of strings they can pull for you, but calling the GS line would be my first choice to see what they say.

If it were me, I would first send a fax to the MP service center concisely describing a detailed report of what happened (Pretty much exactly your post above).

If you were on an A fare they should be able to see that in your ticket. Go from there.

Call the GS desk and see what they can do. It shouldn't be hard if you booked an A fare.

Perhaps your original fare was some sort of MUAUP fare that should normally book A or D, but when the flight was rebooked, the agent inadvetently rebooked you into M instead...

If that's the case, it should be no problem to have the GS desk fix things.
