Using a 20% Goodwill cert-problems

I am trying to book a multi-city tix to Europe and if I search by price it all looks fine until I go to select to purchase then I get the unable to process request. Of course I can only use at united.com it states but I called the support line and got nowhere. Anybody had experience with these certs?
I wish I could call the 1P line to do this.....:(

When you called did you get "Web Support" or a regular customer service person?? Web Support should be able to help.

Can you provide more information on the problem?

I need to locate one of those for a SYD-Moscow! :D

But yes, in the past I have found using the 10% an 20% off Certs that they often throw up a silly message saying "valid coupon but no available flights" or somesuch nonsense, when there is no issue at all with "valid flights".

Using the 10% off ones if I apply it to a SYD-IAD it takes, but SYD-EZE via IAD it does not for same dates .. .etc, despite that being perfectly valid use.

I've had glitches on .bomb too trying to book available flights with the website claiming at the last minute that there are no seats or price changed, or some other error.

I called web support and they were able to force the booking. It then shows up as if you did it yourself on the website. Last year I had an e-cert that was causing errors and they booked it for me, forcing the e-cert into the record.

Give them a call, explain what you are doing and the error you are getting and they will do it for you.

the certs are a huge hassle........ first it says must be booked on UA.com however as a Canadian it will only accept my credit card on UA.ca So after 5 phone calls I lost it........ and when i ws finished with WEB support i asked for $100 certs. THey gave me a new cert for 20% off instead^

This is NOT a new poroblem with CC...... and UA.......
