The joys of PremEx-dom

I haven't even flown in 2008 and I can already tell there's a difference in being 1P over 2P.

I went on .bomb the other night to book my annual trip to TRS and almost immediately started having problems. NO seats left on UA 914, 2 middles left on the 0800 SFO->ORD, middles again from ORD to MUC, no E+ on UA 902 going IAD->MUC. What's going on here?!?!??

Ah! @:-), I forgot to login heheheh... :D

The heavens open, birds descend to chirp in circles around my head...
(I've heard that 1K is the level where you get the angelic chorus descending from the skies, chanting your name)

Not only are there plenty of seats on all the flights I was looking at moments ago, but there's exit row seats too! Even on the way back!
Click, click, click. Tappitytappitytappitytappity. Done, done, done and DONE! in all of about 5 minutes. Wow, the UA website is actually like useful ! I can get stuff done without spending the whole evening twiddling parameters in drop-down boxes before giving up in frustration and call UAMP reservations.
w00t!

Now let's just hope my 1P card gets here before I leave @ the end of Feb.

It's nice isn't it?

Would that be in reference to 1P, or united.bomb actually working?

As long as you intend to use the RCC, there is no problem as you are on UA flights with a BP showing your status. If you want to check out the other lounges (or end up on LH), you definately need your card though.

Other than lounge access, the *g card is pretty usless IMO.

I agree that having 1P-ness is a great thing. Two years ago, I had 1P-ness, but then I lost it last year. Remarkably, after I lost my 1P-ness, I still had 2P! That felt terrible. But now I have my 1P-ness again, and life is grand.

Both I suppose, but I meant having 1P status!

I'm always pleasantly surprised when I see a totally full flight and totally empty exit rows. Good sign, and makes for a comfortable ride usually!^

Once you hit 1P, you wonder how you lived before it :D

And then you may hit the most revered GS and then your travel dreams will all come true

UCBeau Jan 16, 2008 6:06 pm

If you hit GS, doesn't that mean you are the greatest human being alive?

Javan69 Jan 16, 2008 6:07 pm

I know an ex-domme and she's definitely premier! :D

I can think of a few counter-examples...:p

Don't 2Ps and 3Ps also have access to E+ and Exit rows? How is being 1P any different in terms of seat selection?:confused:
