This is off topic, but I don't think it's the case that they share revenue 50%/50%... If they did so, the operating carrier would suffer since they pay the expenses. Either the revenue sharing formula is not 50/50, or it's a gross profit share. Or something....
All that said, STILL *no one* knows the answer to my question? Amazing... :( IMO all miles on UA metal should count(as they pretty much do), and only miles on UA metal should count. |

IME it did count. My IAD-FRA(part of a DEL ticket) ticketed on a LH flight number, but UA metal, in F added to my full-fare mile counter.

Full fare miles on United metal. You will have to find out if the other carrier's fare code translates into B fare or higher.

This is well known, but can anyone answer my question?
But I got to "test" it just last week when I flew UA 8882 & 8883 (SFO-MUC-SFO) as paid Z. Indeed these flights ticked up my full fare counter. So. . . Yes. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. SEE POST #21 for my correction and apology! |

Actually, I wasn't too sure about this either.

NO! That's the opposite of what I'm talking about. Those were LH metal flights wtih UA numbers, and they credited? Are you sure??? That's not what has been generally understood here. I was pretty sure LH metal (even if UA number) meant no FF BIS. Now you're saying it does?
My OP was about UA metal, LH number. As to my own situation, here again I find myself wrong. I hadn't checked the FF counter for a few weeks and I clearly remember it last said 62k and now says 73k - all true. However, I also completely forgot a last minute trip I made SFO-KIX just before the LH legs. Indeed, as you say, it's those UA legs which moved the needle. The flights on LH metal did not. Appologies to all for any confusion. I'll update my original post to point here for the revision. |
