Sixt Platinum for 1Ks / Gold for 2P and 1P
I was browsing around and I see if your a 1K, you get free plat status with Sixt. Normally 20 or more rentals/year
Perks are: Upgrade to the next higher car group (subject to availability). Fast Lane for privileges and fast service at all airports. 35% discount on all discountable rates or the Sixt corporate rate. 20% discount on Holiday Cars* when booked direct. 20% discount on Sixt limousine service in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, 10 % discount in other foreign countries Mobility guaranteed: Forgot your reservation? No problem: You will always get a rental car from Sixt if you call us up to 5 hours before your rental start time. Though, mainly its in Europe. I did notice in Munich they got Sixt express kiosks in the airport, wher eI'm guessing you can proabably check in and agree to the rules, and the car will be waiting for you. http://www.e-sixt.com/main/common/al...rd.php?lang=en NEW LINK http://www.sixt.com/rental-services/...platinum-card/ For 1P/2P, its the Gold status which perks are: 25% discount on all discountable rates or the Sixt corporate rate. 15% discount on Holiday Cars* when booked direct. 20% discount on Sixt limousine service in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, 10 % discount in other foreign countries Mobility guaranteed: Forgot your reservation? Thanks for the link. I hope they come up with a good rate on Tenerife (where car rental rates are ridiculously high). That 20% discount could really add up...
|
Wow thanks! I was just looking to book a car at LJU in April.
|
Thanks for the link. I wonder how they verify status.
|
I tried this and the database timed out several times, so it never completed.
Maybe it doesn't work at night -- it was 3pm in California which presently is 11pm in Germany. Kind of a pain since they ask for a LOT of information to be filled out. |
It's great, but certainly nothing new.
|
I filled it out right before I posted this, worked fine.
Maybe try going to sixt.com and click car hire, then on the side sixt card and the gold or plat |

Probably just because Sixt isn't a major player in the U.S. I do know it's been around for a while, but I just never thought it might be useful until now, so the timing of your "reminder" was ideal for me.
Good for me since I'm out here most of the year :D Though I got to get a new international driver booklet from AAA |
This is a really good deal that I've been fortunate to take advantage of.
35% off and a free upgrade ^ |

Thanks for the link, looks like a great deal! Just went there now and signed up and it seems to have worked ok. :)

better discounts available
I have SIXT GOLD. Whenever I go to book a car in Germany I find the rate HIGHER than the normal "internet rate" for US travelers if I enter my Gold number.
Try it - go to book a car saying you live in the US and get a rate. Then log in with your GOLD number and do the same. Rate is HIGHER because the discount is off the standard rate and the internet rate is even cheaper than that. |
