Snail-mail letters are always considered to go a lot further than an e-mail or phone cell because it is considered more effort on the part of the passenger to initiate the contact, but I've received certificates from both e-mail and paper letter (though more often by snail-mail letter).

Didn't even know these things existed...I just called MP and they are sending me some. Should get them in 2-3 weeks.....so they say.
