Warmed Nuts...

Much to everyones excitement, someone at WHQ was listening... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif

from the Chicago Suntimes
"...On other fronts, United said it is planning to put the "first class" back in its first-class domestic service, by adding hot nuts, hot towels and hot meals on flights longer than 2-1/2 hours, as well as other enhancements throughout 2004. Many of these amenities, once considered de rigeur in first class, were dropped when the carrier declared bankruptcy.

Wow! They skipped warm and went direct to hot!

A serious breach of etiquette, but I think this time we should turn the other cheek, don't you.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Joanna Quinn made "Lightbulb," which portrays a business idea in the form of a lightbulb that is passed along by businesswomen traveling to various meetings. Another spot, "Interview," about a business person traveling to a big job interview, will debut during the Academy Awards telecast on Feb. 29. All of the spots feature United's signature theme music, Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," which has been absent in a major way from the carrier's advertising for nearly a decade.</font>
I will be in SIN at the time of the Academy Awards but have set this computer to record it.

Last Friday from SAN to IAD we had our warm nuts, three meal choices and ice cream too. Very HAPPY boy.

And yes, the FA took orders but status.

My recent flight NRT-SIN gave package nuts. Is this usual? I thought all long-haul int'l flights give out warmed nuts.
