UA Statement Question
I was looking at my statement today and I noticed something- I am not sure what does it mean:
Award Miles Expire: Miles expire Nov. 30, 2011
EQM/EQS: Expire Jan. 01, 2011
Why is EQM/EQS expire before Award Miles?

I bet that I am not the first with this - but here goes!
Elite Qualifying Miles and Elite Qualifying Segments accumulate on an annual basis. They start their life at 0001 on the 1st January and expire on 31st December at 2359 every year.

EQM/EQS always expire on the first of the year. RDM expire after 18 months of inactivity.

Since EQM/EQS only serve to keep track of the elite level you qualify for and cannot be used to redeem rewards, they expire at the end of each qualifying period which is the calendar year.
