Web Site Problems (Again)...New Message

(Getting to be normal occurence) UA web site is not working for me this morning...but a 'new' message:

Message from the NSAPI plugin:
No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds.

Anyone else seeing this?

(Now it's functioning...as Roseanne Rosanadanna put it, 'Never mind!')

Everything looks fine to me. Just logged in, and response time was quick.

Wonder if you have a DNS problem between your ISP and UAL? You might also kill off any UA cookies, if you haven't already.

Funny thing is when I go to united.ca I can see my "united only" iteneraries with no problems at all..
But, it doesn't show me "All United " section so I cannot see the ones that I am booking with corp. agency.. Bummer..

May be I should try united.au, united.de, ... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

After getting the same bizarre errors at united.com, I was able to log in and check my account via www.unitedairlines.de .

I was getting the "No backend server available for connection" message also. emailed web support, got the standard "We have received your request and will be
responding to you within 24 hours." email. So I called and was told nothing is wrong.

The web support person was able to access the site and wanted to end the call. I insisted that she stay on till I could access and as luck would have it, I am able to acccess now.

I asked if the web support was part of UAL or
getthere.com and was told it is a "separate
entity"

I wonder how much lost revenue this cost UA?

The large steaming pile of crap known as United.com has been acting up for me today as well.

Can't log in to view miles. I get a screen that says "Error" in italics, followed on the next line by "Error" in a larger bold non-italics typeface, and then "Mandatory Parameter Check." Very informative.

When I try to log in to create an itinerary, I get the message: "you are about to be directed to a connection that is not secure, do you wish to continue"

Way to go.
