Can't Book Rewards to TEX (Telluride)?

I was searching UA.com and if you search for awards to TEX, it says "We're sorry; United or United Express does not service the selected cities for award travel."

It's served by Great Lakes, not UA.

That's correct. DEN-TEX is operated by Great Lakes, which is not a UX carrier.

Most people fly to Montrose. Telluride Airport is not the easiest to land and takeoff.

It may not be the easiest but it sure is exciting.

The flights have UA flight numbers?

UA also has flight numbers for a lot of codeshares, but that doesnt mean you they are UA flights...As people mentioned, since Great Lakes isnt a UX carrier you cant redeem on it

The UA pdf that includes all of the flights has two flights from DEN to TEX.

UA5083
UA5087 - Beechcraft - Operated by GreatLakes. However, it lists both flights as being operated by a *Alliance Carrier...

No, it says Star Alliance/Code-Share.

I know it won't work online, but the OP can still call UA to book an award on a ZK (Great Lakes) flight, right?

Yes, I have been able to book award flights including Great Lakes segments by calling UA - nothing available through .bomb

And you also earn miles on them if the flight is part of a UA itinerary, but not as a stand-alone flight.

Yes indeed, you can book award tickets on ZK with UA miles, but you need to call and the availability is few and far between. These are 19 seat planes after all...

You are still further ahead to fly into Montrose MTJ, and take a shuttle to Telluride. Several UX flights daily into Montrose, and the shuttles line up to take skiers to Telluride.
