I saw Delta's announcement re: no change. Yesterday I got an email from Hilton indicating it will be easier to earn status. Adding those two data points plus United's continued silence on the matter leads me to speculate that airlines/hotels are not predicting good things ahead, and UA is unlikely to change anything soon.

Plus Delta blinked first and United is likely to align.

I don’t think the Hilton announcement is related or adds any data points to what United or other airlines are doing. Hilton was re-structuring their loyalty program by adding a new tier and making some other tweaks.

Suspect outside of Flyertalk and reedit, small communities of FF, there are few that plan their travel based on FF program.

Any word if imminent announcement from UA on qual spend to qualify for 2026 1K status
 

I'll go quick. I saw posts that speculated that UA would want the to maintain the current $28,000 spend requirement to maintain 1K status going forward. My motive is to plan/allocate flying amongst my usual carriers to hit the 1K threshold and also get to where I want to be on other carriers, such as AA and DL. My sense is that Kirby and his team won't raise it, and posts have mentioned that. Hope UA keeps things the same. Just want them to declare it, If anyone has the word, hope he/she would post.

Do we ever get what we want? Not really. My guess is they do away with bonuses or tinker with the cc PQP but keep the numbers all the same. But…December 4 seems to be the latest they have ever sent the dreaded email of “how much better things will be!”.

There is an invitation event on Dec 8 called Virtual Customer Connection 2025 so perhaps any announcement regarding changes will be after that?
