Yep. I just saw this for UA for friends, and today I flew back to the US from the UK and yet again--as every time--AA made me fill it out. No options. It is not the airlines.

What kind of a CDC requirement is bypassed if you check in at the airline counter?

I usually just wait until getting to the airport to check-in, for that reason. Although I am forced to go through the process on the app even if I just want to change seats during the check-in window (e.g. after a T-24 hr upgrade).
Interestingly it didn't work at YVR on AC earlier this year coming back to US. They wanted an address before issuing a BP. |

United is probably one of the last hold outs, if giving out wipes during boarding is an indication.
https://www.federalregister.gov/docu...for-passengers Are the other US airlines still doing this also, and is there any end in sight? |

United still requires contact tracing info to be entered when checking in on the app flying to the US, and the CDC order from 2021 is still in force, AFAIK.
MNL-GUM leaves at 00:40. Does checking on on the website rather than the app serve as a workaround? |
WTH OLCI requiring Contact Tracing ?
First screen in app of OLCI MUC ORD gives me the Covid contact tracing form for CDC. Freakin ridiculous

Obviously not, but it's ridiculous that UA forces travelers to provide this information or eschew OLCI.

Nonsense. It's optional information. I've never provided it upon entering the US.

so none of this is new and you obviously don't need to fill it out. Why do we have this thread?
