What is a set error? (I looked it up but don't really understand - nor why it would only apply to me (apparently it is not a wide spread problem)
So far trying your link worked, but when I tried to do a calendar search it wouldn't search, refreshed the page it worked but asked me to sign in (as if I was a guest - but without doing anything except hit search - it worked and I was signed into my account. Very strange :so confused: I really appreciate your help Anyway, I find it's almost as easy to edit the URL manually as to enter things in their website, so maybe you can use that way to do searches. The only issue is sometimes it decides you're a bot and then you have to go to the home page again before the next search. |

I log in, chose all the items and search - get a big red box at the top that says
"Please correct the following error: on the next line is only a period" When I look the date box is red and says select a valid date (but the date is valid from the drop down calendar) It does matter if I select miles or money, change from/to always get the same error. Sometimes IF I can get to advanced search it will work, but I can't always get there. UA had closed their web support and agent who is trying to help has no clue Windows laptop, chrome browser. Any help? (already deleted cookies, etc) Used to work fine, but this has been going on for months |
completely reloading or going back to the home page and into advanced usually clears the error
This doesn't fix the error you get after submitting and it tells you it can't do the search. The only solution I've found is to wait and try again later (maybe 30min later). Maybe it's some sort of rate limiting, and they don't want you doing more than a dozen searches at a time. |
I usually work around these sorts of issues by using google flights and clicking through to app or website.

Problem is I can't get to advanced search most of the time :( I've tried at various times and rarely it works - the error happens from first search for me :( So in my case it's not a time out issue.
Doesn't help when I'm searching for award tickets! I've long given up on giving money to UA https://www.united.com/en/us/fsr/cho...=1&clm=7&tqp=A Code:

Thanks - yes I was able to search using your other link then modifying it. Just have to bookmark your links - so cumbersome. UA rep claimed he'd never heard of this error but would escalate it - I'm not holding my breath.
