I avoid LH metal now due to their tendency to meltdown during strikes, weather issues, etc. On board I find the crew generally good, the food fine (slightly better than UA but not as good as OS), and their C seats sub par, but acceptable on the 7-9 hour flights I have taken with them. I really like their lounges, but can use them flying any *A carrier. What keeps me from booking LH flights now is the absolutely unacceptable negligence they show during IRROPS, including it taking hours to get their to their reservation agents to change flights (calls are regularly dropped when caller volumes high), agents not empowered to make flight changes if you do get though (need to submit the changes to LH ticket desk, which responds after 6 hours by canceling the new flight leaving no alternative), no ability to rebook flights in the app (there is a button to choose from a list of alternative flights that leads to…a blank screen), and a chatbot Eliza that is also unable to rebook in case of irrops. I see LH on a downward spiral right now, and their labor woes will only make things worse. I feel for the crew, who deserve better management.
