It’s just not UA. I’ve encountered the same prices on DL, AA and AMX.

Mexico prices have been super cheap from MIA. They just went a little up, but thanks to Y4 and sometimes AM guiding the price drops and promos, they happen to make UA match MEX flights. Also, WN on the return from PVR & SJD have been super cheap to MIA/FLL.

When I lived in South Cali, TIJ became the best option to fly to CUN, PVR & SJD for close to nothing. Just drive from Newport Beach to Otay, park the car in the street for free and off we go for a weekend / long weekend to Mexico's beaches while paying less than $30 to use the Cross Border Xpress with some coupons easily available on the internet. Now imagine if one lived in SAN like the OP!!!
