But any change by UA will render my username meaningless. :(

Ah well, it’s already a legacy name for me. I was only 1k for about four months of my life, coinciding with my FT registration. (My username selection was even more shortsighted than UA’s adoption of “1k”)

How about "Special K"?

Great name, brings back some fond memories of high school!

How about "Zero" for Boarding Group Zero, lumped in with unaccompanied children, military, GS and other zero's? Or technically Group Zero-F?
On AA, It's Group 2. AA's Group 0 is ConciergeKey, not shared with anyone else.
Congratulations. You're now a Zero. Thank you for your business.
Maybe this is all backwards. Instead of Kevin or Plutonium, why not be branded by how many lifetime $$$ you've moved towards the company, adjusted for inflation. Or maybe even in Rubles to make it more impressive.

I agree with this. How long ago was ~$25k being considered for GS?

Although $12k and $15k didn’t seem to halt a lot of 1Ks.

$25K was never considered for GS. The threshold has always been around or above the $50K spending yield. I lost GS back in 2004 when my spending for the year was around $40K (I think it was just north of $39K). The years I made GS I had spending yield over $50K (2002, 2004 and 2005 to make GS in 2003, 2005 and 2006). 2003 was the inaugural year for GS.

They could go with the planets:
Jupiter (GS), Saturn (1K), etc.

Or the top non-human, smartest animals
Chimpanzees (GS), Dolphins (1K), Elephants (Platinum), etc.

How about by biggest financial scams?
Enron (GS), Madoff (1K), . . . Ponzi (Silver)

They could do rivers by length, deadliest infectious diseases, most ravenous dinosaurs and so on. Just a few quick thoughts.

Uranus (Silver). Sorry, Silvers - it is what it is...was looking at my flight OGG-LAX in 10 days or so. Only 4 middle E+ seats open. That Silver benefit of free E+ sometimes isn't much of one. Kinda sux.

I think the original full name was "Premier Executive 100K" - still silly, but a little less random.

If they were to name it after boarding order, technically it would be called 5 no? :)

I found some old 2011 UA boarding passes it and it says “ Premier Executive 1K”

I think you need to go back to the late 90s or early 00s when 1K originated.

An old thread on the nomenclature:

I have been 1K since 1998. The card reads Premier Executive 1K. The 1999 card just says 1K.

Can they just use dog or animal labels.
A sloth vs. turtle vs. panther vs. hippo flyer

I doubt the dog classification will work as it would simply encourage riders to bring more ESA onboard and turn aircraft into a mini zoo.
