Requesting a *A upgrade Award on SQ?
I finally pulled the trigger on SIN-DPS via the UA website (both SIN-DPS and DPS-SIN are carrying SQ flight numbers), but since the tickets are issued in full Y, I was going to throw some miles and see about upgrading into C.
The question is, do I just need to call MP to process the upgrade or do I need to follow more steps? Also, does a Y>C upgrade pull from I or O class? PS: the UA website even allowed me to select seats for both segments. :D |

It's requested through this link: https://www.united.com/web/en-us/app...de.aspx?POS=US
Remember that *A upgrades using miles are only for instantly-confirmed upgrades. Upgrades that are not available cannot be waitlisted. PS - personally I find 10,000 miles a waste on a short route like SIN-DPS. SQ has great service but 10,000 gets you a free ticket in the US under 700 miles. Obviously we all choose how to spend our miles differently. -RM |

But SIN-DPS has the new 787-10 regional "business" seats. That's an experience!

I would definitely pay $150 US (value of 10k UA) for that upgrade.
