Question Why does United marketing think I'm obsessed with Columbia, SC (CAE)?

This is actually quite funny because I'm wondering why marketing at United thinks I'm obsessed with traveling to Columbia, SC (CAE).

Every week or so I get an email from United News & Deals featuring fantastic offers from IAD to CAE starting at only $119 each way!!!

The only problem is that Columbia is probably at the bottom of my list of cities to visit for either business or personal reasons. I've only flown out of CAE once in the past 10 years (and that a nonrev trip when CHS was full).

What gives? Do some algorithms think that I should be living or working in CAE?

CAE is certainly not unforgettable to me!

But you're based out of IAD, no?

I get emails based on my home hub; lax or sfo; albiet not weekly.

I assume this is just United informing you of 'cheap' deals out of IAD. Marketing. lol.

Funny...I fly PHX > IAD on Sunday, but had to add on a trip to CAE as soon as I land at IAD...I come back Tuesday and head home to PHX Thursday.
