We are pleased to offer the retired air-frame Boeing 747-422 N171XX http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/25968042-post6.html 54 hits went searched on FT UA forum |
Read the description carefully -- airframe only! The engines and landing gear have already been removed, and it sounds as though the cockpit might be removed and auctioned separately and the interior gutted as well.
The description is poorly written. It's hard to ascertain just what is on the auction block here. |
UA's first 744. Piece of history for sale there.

I wonder how easy it would be to get those Global First seats working on household power.

Looks like a typical UA 744 MX.

:(
I want a pair of those F or J seats. |
the company that makes luggage tags out of old aircraft should scoop it up. I'd buy a couple tags made from a UA 747

The seller lists separately a few other bits that may from the same plane.

Must be an interesting story behind the ship ending up in Orlando rather than the usual graveyards like Mojave.

I'd bid, but I don't think it would fit in my driveway.
