DCA-ORD Mar 5 (Sun morn.) cleared at T-96. First time in forever I can remember a CPU that early. 4/12 F seats still open.

My son, who is not on FT, is gold and has cleared five out of six RDU-EWR-RDU flights this year. The time he didn't clear was evening trip. Morning and afternoon he's cleared within 24 hours and before arrriving at airport each time.

Boeing 7M9 G Fare Cleared T-6 before departure |
3/6 UA1201 SAN-SFO
3/7 UA684 LAS-LAX 3/7 UA4629 LAX-SAN All 48 hours out for this 1K Repooc17 to answer your question in #664 I do not fly OPM and want the upgrades to Polaris for TPAC and TATL so earn my 1K status with PQFs. I do not live in a hub so 54 will be a stretch this year but hopefully attainable. |
I had a pleasant surprise on yesterday's trip
3/14 UA 768 RDU-EWR 319 Platinum on a V Fare: Cleared at ~T-36. I was originally #5 for 4 but I think a lot of people took advantage of the travel waiver 3/14 UA 2344 EWR-MSP 7M8 Platinum on a V Fare: Cleared at T-72. I certainly didn't expect to get an upgrade on a 1,000+ mile flight at the window Currently 5/7 since dropping to Premier Platinum. |
4/1 UA 4707 RDU-EWR EMB-175 Premier Platinum on a K Fare With Companion: Upgraded at T-36
The plane was originally an E70 and swapped to an E75 two days out. Once it did we cleared as did most of the upgrade list. This brings me to a surprising 6/8 as a Premier Platinum this year. |
Would have cleared as a Gold on 4/4 MSP-IAD on an EMB-175, but was on an XN award ticket and I don't have any of the UA credit cards. :p Believe it went out with 3 open in F. I only post because 1) I assume not having a UA card while having status is pretty rare, 2) actually getting a CPU on an award surely isn't common when you're only a Gold and 3) I had no idea this was a thing until this trip and read about the criteria to qualify.
I had 7D so only missed out on food/drink which I didn't really need. And from feeling fancy about myself by being upgraded. |
4/4 UA 6142 RDU-IAH EMB-175 Premier Platinum on an S Fare: #1 of 15
4/4 UA 6082 IAH-HRL EMB-175 Premier Platinum on an S Fare: Cleared at T-72 Now 7/10 as a Premier Platinum. |
I am 6 for 6 for an upcoming trip. All of them were cleared into PN (Y fare). Hope that I will make all connections. Just cross fingers.

4/11 ORF to IAD 4/11 IAD to BOS 4/15 BOS to EWR All T-96, me + companion. |
I'm honestly surprised how easy this has been for me this year after many years of futility.
4/15 UA 2477 RDU-ORD 737-800 Premier Platinum on a T Fare: Cleared at T-72 with Companion 4/18 UA 6271 CVG-IAD EMB-175 Premier Platinum on a L Fare: Cleared at T-72 4/18 UA 444 IAD-RDU A-320 Premier Platinum on a L Fare: Cleared at ~T-36 Now 76.92% (10/13) as a Premier Platinum since February |

I think I jinxed myself. I flew 4/19 on UA 444 IAD-RDU again, this time on a Q Fare, and ended up #9 of 25 for 0. That's what I'm used to!

LAX - Cancun 4/28, cleared for me and companion at T-36 as a Gold, on an award ticket. Also have the Chase United card which others pointed out allowed the companion to be upgraded for that award ticket :)
