Delta's partners earnings tables are out. Complete gutting across the board. United will follow, as usual... :p
Except DL is maintaining elite bonuses, albeit at reduced rates. If UA follows DL, there will be some sweet spots where the partner flights will offer much better mileage earnings (if partner ticketed). But no PQD. |

Basically the same as the new CM earnings chart. 50% on discount economy, 25% on deep discount.

This is interesting -- did DL copy UA here? The United chart for Copa earnings came out a couple of weeks ago, and the new Delta chart for Air France earnings looks structurally similar.
Makes you wonder if there isn't some unofficial behind-the-scenes sharing going on here. |

Given that these earnings schemes require mutual agreement with the partner, I assume it takes some time to put new ones in place.

I've been away from the board for a bit but I must admit my surprise that so many elite flyers are upset with the change. Personally, I'm loving it. Most of my travel is international so I will be earning likely 2 to 3 times as many award miles as before.
UAL Insider, please pass along my thanks. |
With the big changes coming - is there any MP benefit to spending $25k on my Explorer card like there was this year for waiving PQD? This definitely assisted this year.

No timeline on the UA chart yet though?

Just assume it will match DL.

So I see that in 2015, it will also take even more dollars to qualify for status. I achieved Gold on October 5th, however, they will not send me my Gold card until next year. What Mileage program is everyone going to?
I welcome any recommendations....I live in WPB FL and mainly travel to Australia, Germany and France, some USA travel as well! average around 50,000 miles per year. |

or the already published CM chart.
I really think this'll be a MAJOR cut. As I've said previously AP has 50% earnings on basically all the cheap buckets, 25% on some super cheap domestics like on AV in Colombia. However UA already has lots of fares that seem to earn 0% so I'm curious to see if they bump those up while taking a giant bite of those 100%ers. In any case I guess I'm kinda resigned to staying with AP. Neither program was going to make a huge difference to me personally, I'm more focused on getting miles for future "free" travel. Plus from everything I read about the upgrades on UA you really have to be top top tier to ever get em. I was looking forward to free E+ cuz I'm way too cheap to pay an extra $60-90USD (specially when the CAD is TERRIBLE) after shelling out like $900 on the fare to begin with. |

I still have some miles to use up, but after that, Sayonara United. You don't value me as a Customer, so good bye.
