Yet Another System Problem
 
Just called MP to extend a Dec. expiring SWU after it failed to clear for the 2nd straight flight :rolleyes:

Seemingly competent agent tried to extend it and said there was a problem with the system and to please hold while she checks.
After nearly 15 mins on hold, she told me there is a "system delay" and I need to call back in 24 hours.

If you don't laugh, you'll cry. I am SO done with this airline.

I had very good luck getting Nov 2012 GPUs extended to Jan 2014! I was shocked.

At this point, I would be happy with a call that took less than 20 minutes.

Do you mean they were set to expire in November and you had them extended?

I'm just curious because I had two RPUs expire on 30 Nov and I was considering calling to see if they could be reinstated now that all other have been extended. Worth a try maybe?

Called to get uncleared regionals put back in, and I get the lovely greeting "thank you for being platinum", ok... me-"I am 1K", UA-- "no not yet, you have not hit 100,000 yet", me- "uhm that is for this year, what about last year??" UA--" uhm hold on there is a system issue", 6 minutes on hold, UA--"yah, I looked it up on line, and you are 1K". Thanks!!

So then we moved on to the un-returned RPU, UA-"oh they put it back in", me--"no they didn't", UA--"uhm hold please", 5 more minutes UA-- ok I can put it back in now".

Does anything actually work at the new United??:confused:

To answer my own question, "NO". I hate to even type this, but they returned my un-used RPU as a GPU.

That seems like a reasonable exchange for the suffering of having to spend so long on the phone.
