What happens if I pay to upgrade?

I'm in paid Business. I'm getting an offer to pay $3,337 to upgrade, yet the plane only offers BusinessFirst (thank goodness I checked first). I'm assuming if I click on the button I'd just get my fare class changed from discounted business to full fare business class, but no change in service. Or would the website just crap out. Obviously, not an experiment I'm willing to try.

Is this just another scam by Jeff and company to get more money out of their existing customers, or is it another bug in the website?

It's a bug AND a scam, and a travesty of a mockery of a sham.
