Where does the 764 fly?

Wondering... what routes does UA fly the 767-400 (non-HD).

I've found
IAH-AMS
IAH-GIG
EWR-GIG

Wondering if someone can account for all 12 of the non-HD birds at any one time.

Part of my interest in this comes from the fact that currently for late summer the IAH-HNL and EWR-HNL routes are showing this plane (with 7 rows of First). Any thought where those planes are being taken from if now they are flown with the HD versions?

They fly on the three routes you listed as well as:

IAH-EWR
EWR-GVA
EWR-MUC
IAH-FRA
EWR-HNL [not daily]
HNL-IAH [not daily]

2 are currently in HKG for modifications as well.

Using the info here....

https://sites.google.com/site/theuni...-400-pmco-test

You can get the tail numbers, which you can put in here....

http://flightaware.com/

To figure out where all (most of them) are at any one time.

I saw a 767-400 in MCO today heading to Houston. Once in a while I see one randomly at MCO but I do not normally see them on the schedule. As a 1k I am 100% perfect on MCO upgrades to all hubs even SFO! Tis flight looks like it would have been tough. Upgrade list was 40 people deep and booked full!!!!

Above Flightaware site very helpful. Here's what I found currently:

N66051 IAH-HNL
N67052 FRA-IAH
N59053 EWR-FCO Upgraded
N76054 GRU-EWR
N76055 EWR-GVA
N66056 EZE-IAH Upgraded
N66057 EWR-MXP Upgraded
N67058 IAH-AMS Upgraded
N69059 IAH-FRA
N78060 EWR-GRU Upgraded
N68061 HKG getting Upgraded
N76062 HKG getting Upgraded

I also saw the HNL-IAH flight goes to MCO explaining that sighting (and visa versa). I'll keep following this to see if I can figure out the rotation and what gets added as 61 and 62 come back into service.

Looks like EWR-MUC is a 767-200 for now.

Thanks.

Are the seat maps online at all accurate? Any idea if UA129 this friday (4/6) will be a new 764?

It is accurate, and this Friday's IAH-GIG flight is not scheduled to have one of the upgraded birds. But there is the slim possibility of the aircraft being swapped to an upgraded bird.

I'm on GVA-EWR this summer and it's a 3-class 763. Maybe a seasonal swap?

Huh -- interesting. I'm on UA 59 (AMS-IAH) on Sunday. It's scheduled to be a 764ER, but I see no indication that its the upgraded variety (at least not by the seatmap). I'm assuming that its the same bird as IAH-AMS, but I guess I could be wrong.

Also, I was on one of the micronesia 764s from SFO-HNL earlier this month.

It is being switched to a PMUA 763. Right now it is still the 764, but not for much longer. It will be operated with the soon to-be former PMUA ghetto birds.

The upgraded birds rotate on different routes, so one day the route will have the upgraded configuration, then the next it is the old configuration.

At T-48 hours, whatever is being shown on your seat map is pretty much the configuration you will be flying.

Weren't the Ghetto birds 2-cabin only or were all 763s ghetto birds?

The ghetto birds are the 2 cabin birds that are flying on hub-to-hub domestic routes and the Hawaii routes. All 2-class domestic PMUA 763s will be converted with 30 C seats in Business [PMCO BF ones] along with winglets and some other interior enhancements. They just began converting one of the ghetto birds to international configuration [will be nearly identicial as the upgraded 764 layout] and they will be deployed on international routes. I am assuming those birds will probably be deployed on routes to South America and Europe.

So far, we know that at one point the following routes will get the converted 763s [not sure if it is permanent or not]:

IAD-CDG
ORD-AMS
EWR-IST
EWR-GVA
