I think I will be getting a ride to IAH with someone whose flight will depart from Term C. My flight looks like it will be from Term B. Is it possible for me to check my baggage at Term C? If so, do folks think that will make it more likely for the bags to not make it over to my flight?
If not possible, I see there is an underground train before security - anyone know approximately how long that takes, please? It doesn't seem to run as often as the sky shuttle inside security. Thanks!

That said, SubWay is way fun, runs all the time and usually empty. If it were me, that is what I would do.

I don't pay for Pre, so since they finally stopped giving it to me for free, moot point for me. Did the SubWay last time I arrived at IAH and had to leave secure anyway since it was an Int'l arrival. Not a big deal, but the old subway is kind of different.

Surprised as a man of two (plus) countries that you don't have NEXUS!

I will be overnighting at IAH and then departing the next morning on ANA.
Is there pre-check at D?
If no, can I check my bags and then walk to pre-check at E? I intend to visit the polaris lounge before the flight anyway. Thanks!

As for getting from D to E .... you have to cross over a busy road, and I'm not recalling an easy way to do it without quite a detour

That was quick.
From ANA web site:
Tokyo, October 25, 2017 - Today, All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's largest and only 5-Star airline, became the country's first carrier to participate in TSA Pre✔® (TSA Pre-check), which is managed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
However, chances are that there is no Pre✔ in D terminal.
Have not flown from Term D since my days of flying TACA in last century - obviously no Pre✔ back then.

I have a 4 1/2 hour layover on a flight EZE-IAH-RDU in December. Seems like the Skyway is the right way to get around IAH. I know things change but it looks like I might need to go from Terminal E where the EZE flight lands and the Polaris lounge is, over to Terminal B for my flight to RDU. If I left the lounge an hour before the flight would that be enough time to make the flight since we will be airside? We are in first on a small ERJ-170 so boarding should be easy.
