ATM at Heathrow

OK, I know this question has been asked and answered before, but I can't remember the answer and searching ATM is returning nothing. So, please, without flaming me and without a huge discussion, is there an ATM at Heathrow? Terminal 3 preferably.

Thanks!

Yes you have your choice of banks upon leaving the customs hall. I think there's a nationalwide or halifax machine so dont use either of those since the building societies tend to charge a fee. I know there's also a hsbc and barclay's machine.

There is also one on the T2/T3 side of the exit/entrance from the Underground station next to the Bureau de Change and one above that in the Central Bus Station - ticket hall/waiting room.

Another one directly adjacent to the HEX ticket machines.

Hsbc

Does anyone know how much are the fees for HSBC atm?

cpx Dec 8, 2006 1:59 pm

i've used thomas cook's without any ATM fees, but I didnt verify their
exchange rates.

I recently used the one on the way to the Tube station. It was kind of by itself downstairs, blue, on the right hand side just before you turn left to go to the tube. It posted as GB ND ICE HEATHROW UNDERGR It came out to 1.89 as the exchange rate, no additional fees. I could have gotten 1.88 upstairs but with a fee so this was a better deal for me.

Hsbc

I think sometimes the fee is included in the exchange rate.

Agreed - I figured this way my "fee" was only $1.00 per 100

I believe it is household savings bank. They issue a lot of credit cards in the US, both Visa and Mastercard as well as store credit cards such as Best Buy.

Are you referring to HSBC? Otherwise known as the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. They are a little bit more than a household savings bank. :D

My bad. In the US there is (or was) also a bank called Household Savings Bank (I assumed the C stood for Corporation).
