Guesting issues with Priority Pass
Hi!
I had a look, and wasn't sure where to post this as there is no dedicated Priority Pass forum.
So, I'm flying out of Birmingham BHX on Saturday with 5 family members. I have a PP card with free +1 guest access. There are 4 lounges I can use. Has anyone any experience in getting a lounge dragon to let two people in, but not the card holder (i.e. one person would enter instead of me, + another as a guest). If I can do this, then everyone can get into a lounge with someone else. I don't see why the lounges would say no, I mean they still get to charge PP for 2 people.
If not, I guess I can take most people into a lounge, but they'd be on their own, and someone left out.
The alternative would be to send someone in (+ guest) with my boarding pass and card, and pretend to be me (I don't think I've ever needed to show my passport when entering a lounge, and often they don't even want to see the bp, it's just swipe and sign).
Thanks for any help/hints/tips!

What you are proposing is outright fraud.
You are entitled to bring in one guest.
Sending someone else into a lounge pretending to be you (with a guest) is as blatant as it gets.

Fundamentally this would work. If PP ever queries the timings of entry, you could say you were checking out the lounges to find one you liked.
Logically, though, it would be better to do 2 plus 3, surely, paying for 1 person? Otherwise someone is on their own!

Well, option 2 was the alternative. I was asking if anyone had found a lounge dragon that accepted the first method. And TBH, I struggle to see how anyone suffers in the "fraud". The lounge charges PP for 2 people, I've paid PP for 2 people, 2 people get into the lounge. I'm not selling the entry for profit, just trying to sort my family out, none of whom had been in a lounge before.
Well, I've lounge hopped before (5 mins in here, don't like it, move next door) without any issues. I guess i'll just ask when I get there and see what happens. BHX is far from the worst place in the world to wait for an hour. I wanted to avoid paying for anyone as (as much as I enjoy lounges) they're rarely worth the money (especially 3rd party ones in regional airports). Free/included access is one thing, paying 17.50 to have a glass of wine & a bag of crisps 20 mins before boarding is quite another.
Anyway, thanks for your input! It's quite possible not all of them will want to the lounge anyway, and will perfer to shop. We'll see tomorrow.

Now, 2 people lounge hopping across 4 lounges is 8 entries.
Compared with 1 person going into each lounge once, each time with a different guest, that is ... 8 entries.
I'd argue that, if lounge hopping is not forbidden, then there is zero difference.
The OP of course has 5 guests, so regardless this would not work. I'd argue it would make more sense to save the time and hastle, and just all sit down together outside. You have people to talk to, etc.
Now, the idea of taking four guests into four different lounges has the potential for some kind of french farce...
I would not CERTAINLY NOT give the card to someone to impersonate you. That is OUTRIGHT unquestionable fraud, and it is not just bending/exploiting the oportunity of four lounges.

A quick update...
So one lounge was closed. One lounge agent said yes to letting me in 2 guests whilst only charging for 1.
I had forgotten I also had lounge access through my airline card + 1 guest. In the end I left two guests in one lounge, two went shopping, and I went with another guest to the final lounge...so it all worked out well.
No fraud committed!!
