Web site needs improvement

I think they are redoing the web site.

I cannot understand why TWA hides their 'bonus' programs. I can't find them on the Web site. I know it is in the newsletter - but I don't always see that. IF they have a bonus, why not ANNOUNCE it. I have flown STL - CLT a few time this past 2 months and only now see there was a bonus and I needed to sign up for it to get credit. Is this any way to treat a customer that has already flown over 110,000 actual miles this year??

Another gripe. They always ANNOUNCE the new stuff, but not the "discontinued". I signed up for Ambassadors Club many years ago as they have one in Columbus, OH. But it closed without any notification (that I have ever seen) Sign on door: Closed for Remodeling. Been on there for 45 days!! I asked and agent said is it no longer a TWA Club. Why not send letter to Ambassador member with a Central Ohio address. Or put something on the web or newsletter??

I have been a support of TWA, but these things reduce my enthusiasm. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Sapman,

I would agree that their "improved" website needs improving. After it's debut earlier this summer on my first attempt to make an online reservation I ran into one of the "improved" features: you are unable to have a paper ticket issued from the website.

I wrote an email to those in charge of the website asking how "improved" features meant less functionality than the previous website?

I got a very canned response not worthy of reprint. I haven't checked lately, but believe they still won't issue paper tickets. I'd prefer the old system for that alone.

Another thing that is really disappointing... While the new, "improved" website searches for other airlines' fares, not just TWA, on the routes served direct and non-stop by other airlines, it won't show those options. As an example, JFK-HEL is served non-stop by AY (which is also code-shared with AA), but TWA site forces you to fly TW to CDG, then take connecting flight to HEL.
