First of all, it does not defeat the purpose. They always have the right to pull ANYONE aside and ask additional questions, especially if the passenger is coming from a country that is a major source of drug trafficking or terrorism. But the questions take all of 30 seconds or less. Waiting in a long line at CBP can take 30 minutes or longer.
Second, usually I walk right from the kiosk to baggage claim (always at IAD), but I have had the picture on my kiosk printout checked visually against my person at two airports prior to entering baggage claim (at SFO and DTW). In neither case, was I asked any questions - I was just greeted with a smile and "welcome home."

Not sure when you used IAH but the set up has changed over the years.
Now they have 15 kiosks in a row in a seperate section that you walk by first when coming in from E (you walk past the visitors section to get to them from D). At the end of the row of 15 there is an agent at a booth though no computer that I could see (it is not the normal processing booth set up). picture of it here http://www.fly2houston.com/0/3526110/0/0/ but you can't see the agent, they would be to the left in the photo |

Global Entry is open to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, Dutch citizens, South Korean citizens and Mexican nationals. Canadian citizens and residents may enjoy Global Entry benefits through membership in the NEXUS program. As a non-permanent resident, you are not eligible for Global Entry. Cheers, GenevaFlyer |

The rumour in Schiphol today is that the Flux scheme allowing Dutch citizens with Privium access to Global entry might not be renewed in the new year.
Which sucks. |

Hi everyone!
So I applied for GE a couple days ago and I just noticed something on my print out. I noticed that all my previous employers don't have their phone numbers on the print out. Is this okay? I don't want to get denied for not having all the information. Thank you! :) |
Just used GE for the first time flying from GVA-EWR and customs was a breeze. There were probably 100+ people waiting in line, I walked up to an unused terminal and printed it within 60 seconds, presented it to a customs agent who stamped it, then walked through to baggage claim and presented the form to an angry agent who stamped it and I was done. Whole process took maybe 5-10 minutes!

(1)was the agent angry (general demeanor) or angry at you (2)I arrive at JFK (T8 = AA), after I print my GE ticket (except on two occasions), the next CBP agent I meet is the customs person, who takes my slip and I'm out the door.:) [I fly with carry-on only, so from the time I reach the GE terminal to the time I exit, is generally no more than 2-3 minutes.] |

Just did my interview today: scheduled for 1pm, started at 1:05 or so, finished at 1:17, got an email on the way home at like 1:30. He asked me if someone told me to apply for them and paid me money to do it. Scary implications if you think it could happen. Drug mules. But i got my sticker so I'm happy.

If someone did that, would they admit it?

Just got my conditional approval. One interview date available in January (can't do it), a few in February (can't do those). Mid-March interview, but not too much flying between now and then to airports that don't have pre-check.
