Drive to the airport

It was time to leave London. This time I didn't book the hotel limousine for 200 GBP, but an Uber First Class. Instead of the announced E-class came a S-class in long version. This happens more often with First Class, as cars in the luxury category also register for it. The ride cost 70 GBP, so it is the better deal compared to the hotel limo.

Would book again anytime, the ride was impeccable.

Heathrow Terminal 5 and flight LHR - DUS

When it comes to airport service, British Airways shines. You stand in the business queue, which is without question better than economy. When we were in front, the lady who was responsible for the allocations sent us to the far left to the counter. There, the lady at the counter told us annoyed she had not waved to her colleague and no longer finishes passengers. Exemplary I would say, if she were my employee, she would probably be employee of the month. So we had to walk all the way back and wait for the next free counter. After all, the embarrassed lady apologized in front and it was also a free counter. Still sucks. Maybe better that I'm not responsible for the staff at Heathrow, a female employee would certainly be less. Or she would be promoted to the complaints line.....
The terminal was a zoo as usual. We opted for the north lounge, certainly the better of the business lounges.

There was a salad buffet and some drinks (delicious lukewarm cola). Otherwise, you could order hot dishes via a web application.

The food was actually quite good, you could not really complain. Of course, it was not a gourmet experience either.

The washrooms are similar to the Concorde Room, which now doesn't necessarily speak for the latter.

The flight was on time and uneventful. I found the food really decent (Except for the caricature of a bun) for an European flight.

That was my little trip to London. Friday I will prepare a new trip report in France;)

Thank you for the report. Always nice to see a visitors view of the city I live in every day. Gives a nice, new perspective. I will have to try out the bar at the Lanesborough next time I'm around for a nice night out.
