Does Anyone Still Serve Caviar?

Aside from Concorde flights? A post-September 11 search turned up CX F class. Is this still true, and does anyone else?

I saw a report in here recently where someone received it on Singapore Airlines. I do think however that with SQ, caviar service is now the exception rather than the rule.

And, get this! In July of this year, on a Northwest flight from Detroit to Anchorage in First Class, my appetizer of sliced nova lox had a dollop of cream cheese with a tiny smidgen of caviar in the middle.

At least it looked like caviar...

As of two weeks ago, LanChile continues to serve it with your choice of toast points or blinis.

Take a look at this mountain of caviar from RTW4's great trip report:

LH continues a full caviar service in F. Just had it in October IAD-FRA. Believe SQ also still does this. Will find out in January. Assume BA still does too.

BA does not (hasn't for almost a year). SQ has poor quality caviar, LH is fairly good (and they give you seconds), while CX has excellent caviar (triple the quality of SQ) and serves a very generous amount. These are the only airlines that still have a caviar service in F, the others have stopped because of the cost. Only CX is really noteworthy now, the others serve caviar that is below what I would buy for home use. That said, the smoked salmon on BA is quite good (better than the caviar on SQ, for example). It is possible to have good food without caviar.

BA does still serve caviar on Concorde. HAd Caviar with creme fraiche & lox on both JFK-LHR & LHR-JFK flights September.

I've been told JAL has in First. Will update next week.

Air India continues to serve caviar in their First Class, and will also serve it on selected Business Class routes when the new seat and service are rolled out in March.

Caviar? Why go flying to eat caviar? I have some supposedly high quality Beluga sitting in my fridge. Russian friends keep bringing it to me. I really don't even like it, except with a lot of that premium Stoli you can only buy in Russia. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif

But anyway at least my tastebuds get so numb in the thin air that it is hard to enjoy any food airlines serve. So it is kind of waste in my opinion to serve nice champagne and caviar in the air. If I just got a good cup of coffee I'd be happy (this hardly ever happens). Sorry to all snobs. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Aeroflot serves Caviar in FC on Transatlantic services

According to the NZ website, Caviar is still there in F:

http://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/trave...class_menu.htm

Now, as to whether it is a full caviar service or not, I don't know. When I flew NZ in F two years ago it was. It could be that here it is a tiny side garnish.

It was there on LH in December. Even seconds (and thirds...)

SQ serves molosol (or malossol? which I believe means little salt, but doesn't really describe a type of caviar) in F with melba toast, accompaniments and vodka.
