Quick update on JAL caviar. Perfectly serviceable osetra. But they have the distinct advantage of serving wonderful premium sake which to my taste perfectly balances with caviar- giving both a bottom to those little eggs while gently clearing the palate for the next infusion.</font>
This is a new idea for me - anyone have further thoughts or ideas on a good sake paring - it seems like the wrong sake could be a disaster.

I don't like to see a 'hint' of cavier on the plate. It needs to be served in a decent amount to get the life extending benefits! There should be second available, also.

It goes with sake, vodka, wine or champagne from where I am seated. I enjoy all the trimmings to bring out the flavor.

Given that the sturgeon is almost extinct, I'm glad that most airlines seem to be dropping it from their menu's.

In Australia it is illegal to import caviar produced from this fish because of it's finger tip grip on this mortal earth.

The problem is the poachers that kill the fish rather than milk it - such a sad problem, given that it takes so long for these creatures to reach maturity.

Funny how I think that it has more to do with saving money than saving sturgeon. But who am I to talk, I still wear crocodile shoes and belts.

I bought one of those silly machines a few years back - I still have a life time supply of the capsules that I did not use after I tasted the results - I fell in love with the technology before actually tasting!
