Many news releases end with -30- to signify the end of the release. I think it goes back to teletype days so that it was easy to separate messages? Maybe some older news person could fill us in on the origin of the -30- ending for news releases. |
I didn't know (-30-) - thank you BlondeBomber. So it is somehow similar to the 9999 codes in software programs.

Think the tone/content of your 6/18/99 post actually led to the rapid demise of this thread- not just a failure to provide details! You may want to try to avoid such unnecessary confrontation in the future- particularly with folks who try to help! Sorry and good luck resolving your situation!
