Thanks for visiting our city and glad you had a good time.
Love the view from the Planetarium/Aquarium area. We have a very active local FT group that meets for dinner about twice a month and for other activities in the warmer months like baseball games. Find us in Community Buzz and don't be shy about proposing a meetup.

One of my favorite work assignments was being tasked to a project in Chicago for three months over the summer/fall and escaping the Houston summer. What a great city. Now...I'll be honest saying that I DESPISE cold weather, but Chicago is one of the few places I'd consider living.

Foiled Cupcakes. No storefront, all online order and delivery. Which is why we will coordinate with the concierge at your hotel. May be a bit trickier if you don't know where you're staying until later in the day (HT style!) but we can still work something out. :)

Within the past several years Chicago has become one of my favorite cities to visit. Its only a two hour flight from the Virginia so its very easy to make a few long weekend trips each year to stay Downtown and catch the races at Arlington International. Great job with the trip review.

Likewise, I am not a fan of the cold either. I would consider it as well. The biggest downside I saw was there was road construction everywhere! I heard a joke from the locals, that there are 5 season in IL. Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring and Construction(which is a all-year season :D)
Glad you enjoyed Chicago! I also forget how lucky I am to live here until I see photos taken by tourists and host friends of mine from places outside of Chicago. I actually never do touristy stuff unless I have visitors... Thanks for the photos! |

That was by far my favorite view, and the Field museum was spectacular. I can't wait to go there again. The Aquarium as so/so.
All the best wishes with your move, what kind of work will you be doing in Chi town? I have a phone interview this week, extremely surprising early on as i am 4 months from graduation. but a good sign and I keep pushing myself to fill out 2+ applications a day. (P.S. if anyone has any such positions come across them, tips, etc i welcome it all! Its been interesting navigating the full time world as a undergraduate :D )
