I'm thinking of going to Uzbek next year, what do you guys reckon would be a reasonable daily budget?
I was in the 5-stans a year ago, traveling with 3 friends. Our hotels were $45-$60/night for a double room. Food was pretty cheap and transport as well. If splitting costs probably $50 a day as a base if just doing the basic Samarkand/Bukhara/Tashkent triangle. A bit more if you want to get out to the Aral sea area or Khiva.

It was still the case last summer. Tons of French in particular, including lots of families. Uzbekistan seems to be a well established destination for French tourists.
