Flew LHRORD yesterday. Business cabin maybe half full. No one offered to hang up my coat. OK food but didn't get first choice and that salmon slice seems to be getting smaller and smaller, frequent water refills, AVOD had nothing I really wanted to watch.
Crew disinterested. No smiles, no comments, but competent. Was amazed that I would want tea with the scone not coffee. Left and landed on time. Is this it? The advantage of business is that it's not economy? |
United needs to improve its quality of food offerings in the premium cabins. The new seats are nice, but food and wine rank fairly low.
I have flown the UA's competition out of US (forget about comparing with non-US airlines), I would rank UA's food only ahead of US. AA, DL and CO all provide better quality of food and wine than UA. Just check the DL business class Japanese entry in one of the trip reports in this forum, and I am livid of what I get out of UA. Of course, schedule, frequency and route networks are more important than food when it comes to choose an airlines, but UA is just too far behind the competition. |
