Ones allowed to the lounge, he can bring a guest no matter what the guest does/fly or whatever.

PS: when I got my senator, it said it the welcome-pack-leaflet that whatever airline I fly (not sure about charters) I'm allowed in the lounge + guest, but it changed straight away after that.

Nice gesture but you are wrong and only let in by the courtesy of the usually not caring staff at the turnstile.

"Type of Eligible Customers

Eligible guests: International First, Star Alliance Gold and Eligible Paid Lounge Membership customers are entitled to one guest
The guest must enter the designated lounge with the eligible customer
The guest must also present a boarding card for any same day Star Alliance flight departing from the local airport"

You are right, however, I compare the core star alliance rules, with what it says in the leaflet/website from the card where I have an elite plus level.
Whichever suits me better I carry a copy or printscreen with me :D
