Taking snacks onboard
I plan to take snacks onboard on my 13 hr flight. The question is, if i wrap it in alluminium foil, will that create problems with security? like x-ray machinies not being able to scan it....
Wrapping in alluminium foil will keep it fresh, i want to use it, but am not sure if thats allowed. Anyone has done it before?

If it's not a liquid or gel, no problem. Aluminum foil won't be an issue, other than they may want a closer look, so you might have to unwrap and re-wrap the food item(s).

We wrap cookies and croissants in aluminum foil and have had no problems with security at various airports. The foil keeps the food items from getting squished. Plus, you can reuse the foil .

1 or 2 or 5 layers of aluminum foil should not create a problem. a number of carryons have aluminum sides. xray machines do not have a problem with them. that aluminum is many times thicker than foil.
