Question Experience with Walmart site to store?

Hi!

First of all, apologies if you feel this doesn't belong to TraveBuzz! I wasn't too sure but I believe it does...

Did you ever use Walmart Site to Store?
Is it possible to order from abroad / pay with a foreign cc?
How long will they keep items for you to pick up?

The last time I came to the US, I bought a Net10 phone which was perfect for me (can't go wrong at $30 incl. $30 airtime, and texts were only 5 US Cents, even to Europe!) so this time I'd like to do the same. Obviously it would make sense to get a phone as soon as I arrive, so that I can pass the number on (in case of emergency), so I stumbled across Walmarts site to store offer. When arriving in LA next month, I am initially only going to stay for a day or two, that's why I wonder if I could order site to store to one closest to LAX in order to avoid having to search for it, and be sure to have my phone asap.

However, while they state "7-10 days" delivery, I don't wanna risk having it delivered after I left already. On the other hand, if I ordered and it would be there a week before I arrive and can collect it, would they return it?

Thanks
raph

(Partly) solved

Dang... I am sorry for asking before reading thru it myself.

I just read:

Your Site to Store order should arrive at your store approximately 7-10 business days after your order is processed (it may take up to 48 hours to process an order). When your order is ready to be picked up, you'll receive an email letting you know.

Site to Store pickup hours are 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 7 days a week.

Once the order arrives at the store, you will have 21 days to pick up your order before it is returned to the distributor. We will issue a full refund for all orders returned to the distributor.
So I'll just go ahead and give it a shot now (as I will be arriving in less than 3 weeks, that should be fine). Will update anyway, in case this could be interesting for other non US travelers.

OMNI.

If it's a travel topic worth talking about, it's likely in this forum. (non-frequent flyer program travel)

Cardholder Address

Apparently I have to enter an US Address....

...now I tried entering my German address and selecting DElaware as the state (sometimes works for computers / checks as it recognizes DE = Deutschland), however, walmart keeps complaining that my zipcode isn't in Delaware.

I guess I will ask a friend of mine who might be able to pay with a US CC and designate me as the person picking up...

The worst problem is I have had to wait up to 20 minutes to get any attention in the counter.

I've not had any of the issues you are considering as possibilities, but then again, I'm using an American cc and address.

Why don't you just pick up a phone off the shelf when you get here? They're typically readily available...

Oh, and the OP isn't omni-eligible.

Net10 is one of walmart's major product lines... I doubt finding a Net10 phone and/or minutes refills will be a problem. If you bought a Net10 phone last time you were in the US, do you not still have it? If so, wouldn't you just need to buy minutes for it?
