I bring a bag of peanuts. It's my own way of raging against the machine at the fact that the little bag of peanuts that used to be given out by many carriers has been replaced with pretzels (yuck) due to supposed food allergies.

Apparently the allergies are real, but hopefully people realize they are not guaranteed a peanut-free environment when they step on an aircraft.

I almost always bring Fruit Leather (sort of like Fruit Roll Ups but not as processed, if you're not familiar with Fruit Leather) with me. I also usually have some sort of candy with me...usually something that doesn't melt and is in rolls (i.e. Mentos)
