The Happiness Project
Greetings FT,
I was reading one of my favorite blogs today, The Happiness Project, when I came upon these lines in a discussion of how NOT to be happy: If you don't want to be happy, what qualities might you cultivate? Consider these: -- Hone your powers of discernment so that practically nothing can meet your standards, and be sure to tell everyone else how the food, performance, or service fell short. ... -- When someone bugs you -- whether it's a stranger talking loudly on a cell phone or a relative repeating the same maddeningly stupid jokes year after year -- tell as many people about it as possible. You may even need to see a therapist twice a week to talk about your grievances sufficiently. |

Wow, I honestly can't adequately express how relevant this is to the UA forum as of late (not being sarcastic). I have absolutely no problems with reasonable complaints, but lately there have just been a surge in the number of completely negative posts, IMO. Something which I really think just sucks is when there is a positive thread with a nice tone, and a few people on the board typically come around and point out something negative which has absolutely nothing to do with the thread. For example, talking about new UA C seats, and having half of the posts be "Well, UA still sucks."
OK, rant over...:p |
