An open request to business hotel chains...

1. Please put the tv and the workdesk where you can see one from the other.
2. Please put an outlet somewhere but behind the armoire or under the bed so we don't have to move furniture merely to iron a shirt.

I disagree. It's a workdesk -- being able to watch TV from there would be distracting :D

HTB.

It's probably designed so you do not use more power... Can't watch TV from the desk, so leave it off...;)

If it is inconvenient to plug in the iron, you won't use it. Again, the hotel would save on power as well as generate more revenue if you use the hotel's laundry and pressing services....;)

The office was designed by:

A) Your Boss
B) Somebody who never really has to work in their hotel room

:D

You can always tell when a bathroom was designed by a woman: there's a full wall mirror behind the toilet.

I mentioned that in a comment form once. Got a personal note back from the manager: "You're right, ours were, but I don't think I'll tell her how you figured it out!"

I don't get it. What good does that do? We face the other way!

Hee hee. Obviously a woman.

That's not the point. Few men want to watch themselves in a mirror while, um, standing in front of the toilet.

Ah, thanks. Obviously I'm not very good at thinking like a man. But I'm okay with that. :)

Better a mirror than this!

redbeard911-
I completely agree on point (2). I actually had the same thought about power plugs this morning as I was trying to iron my shirt. For how minor a detail it is, placement of power plugs can make a big difference.

The TV isn't as important to me given I don't watch much of it, but I've had a couple of times when I've been eating dinner and it would have been nice to be able to watch TV.

Great link!

I often move the desk to improve sight lines.

Exactly! I always move the furniture if it is placed poorly for my needs. Many times I have tried to find an outlet to plug in the iron, only to have to unplug a light or clock radio.

And the things I find behind the night table or sofa while looking for an outlet are things I wish I had never seen.

But that's another thread. ;)
