Stuck At Jfk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TOTALLY STUCK.
Was supposed to fly to SFO, but this is obviously not happening and I have been on hold for 1 hour and 25 minutes for Delta Reissue Dept. Anyone stuck @ JFK like me? They say my first bed out of this area (thats not full) is on tuesday........... (what a horrible spring break...) Anyone have any idea when the weather is supposed to start getting better? |
Doesn't look good -- the first set of flights with availability is on Monday:

The time you spend contemplating the death of your spring break is time you could, and should, be spending on thinking outside the box for creative solutions to this--instead of waiting on the airline for that.
Amtrak was a good suggestion, not necessarily to SFO...perhaps Amtrak somewhere south? Somewhere warm? To somewhere where it isn't snowing & flights aren't being grounded? Rental car? To another airport? And, gasp, dare I say it, bus? Other transportation options besides flying? Not meaning to sound critical, but this is when you really, really need to start thinking outside the box. |
And seriously folks. Amtrak to SFO is not bad and a brilliant way to travel. Those who havent done it don't know what they're missing.

what should I do?
I am scheduled to go from Austin do Philadelphia tomorrow 3/17, on AA 650 and AA 1896 via Dallas. The AA website shows no flight status information yet? I do NOT want to be stuck at Dallas airport overnight with nowhere to go. What would you guys suggest? Just try my luck and check in tomorrow? Or rather extend my stay in Austin for one or two days outright? How can I find out more?

Two colleagues just booked Amtrak from EWR to BWI, then a WN nonstop to SAN. Weather for Baltimore looks much, much better than NY.
You can get out if you want to be creative. |

No, but Amtrak can get him to PHL, BWI, DCA and IAD within a few hours. Much better than waiting until Tuesday.

I've got a friend and co-worker stuck in Denver trying to get to NYC, so it really doesn't matter where you are or where yoaur egoing, it's a mess.
|
Who gets to fly out first. If your flight is cancelled and then the next day is good for flying, do you get to go or do the people with reservations for that day go?
