BOB Pillows and Blankets

I know many people complain that many US carriers have removed pillows and blankets from flights.

Would you be willing to pay for a new pillow and blanket during your flight if it was that important to you?

Only if I got to take it with me when the flight was over. As it is, I bring my own pillow and blanket on the plane.

Edited to add: and only if they were NEW blankets and pillows

When I first saw this thread, I thought "BOB" meant bring on board, not buy. I do bring my own lightweight fleece throw for long/late flights -because I like to use a clean blanket. No, I would never pay for a reused, grubby airline pillow or blanket.

I think that American Eagle is/was doing this. A blanket and pillow set for 5 USD. You could keep it after the fight.

I'm wondering what it is that they got so cheap and can still make a ton of money on.

You wouldn't have to give it back, you would keep it.

Also it would be a new blanket and pillow.

I thought it menat 'Bomb on Board'... Making the jump to the barf bags, those labeled 'BoB' obviously are supposed to read 'Barf on Board'.

Back on topic: no, I wouldn't pay for it. I'd rather have them uniformize the temperature so I know what to expect, and have them offer blankets on request.

HTB.

Not a chance! I wouldn't pay for a blanket or pillow, even if I got to keep them and take them with me.

At Eagle, we are set to start selling a pillow and blanket kit--one of those blow-up neck pillows and a blanket. Haven't seen the real thing, only a picture. You can keep the kit when you leave the plane. Trust me, this is a good investment of $5. You would not believe what some of those blankets and pillows have been through. I cringe when I see a mom put one of the blankets on her baby.... ick!

Why would you need blankets at Bora Bora?
