Help With Child Ticket Problem
So I booked our family of five on a trip to BKK from MSY in May. Our youngest is 10 and he got a lower fare. When booking via Orbitz I failed to notice that I was shown as child fare. Now I cannot get the paper tickets exchanged through Delta, Thai air or Korean air. They all point to Orbitz and Orbitz points to them. The only option is to cancel the Orbitz tickets and repurchase - but fares have increased a lot since then and I would not receive the $6K credit on my card for the refunded tickets for 60 days from Orbitz.
Should I trust that the gate agent will see my 10 year old has the adult fare and I have the child and not worry about it? Any thoughts to resolve this problem?
Thanks for your help.

redbeard911, I think the OP is saying that his/her ticket has been purchased as a child's ticket and his/her child has got an adult ticket instead.
If you explain this to the airline at check-in, unless the agent is really unforgiving, you should be fine. Normally in situations like this, name changes are allowed by your TA (Orbitz) before departure.
Cheers
