Minimum BOS connection time?
We were able to secure our award tickets on Delta, thanks to posters here @ FT. We're going CAK-CVG-BOS-AMS-CPH on the outbound. A bit more travel time and connections than I would have preferred, but for a savings of nearly $2,000, I can live with it. Return is better, CPH-AMS-CVG-CAK.
Looking over the itinerary, I found that my connection time in BOS is a whopping 1h 20m. This will be DL to NWA. Never having been to BOS before, will this be enough time? My real concern is more about the luggage transfer. Your thoughts? |
I would say that you will be okay. With DL now in terminal A, DL & NW are at opposite ends of the airport. That said, Logan is not really that big a place- just cramped.
If there is not an airside bus to terminal E, go outside terminal A and get on the Massport shuttle bus- white with a blue stripe, number 11. You could probably also hop on numbers 66 (dock) or 77/88 (parking) since they also stop at all 5 terminals. If all else fails, I believe you could also walk through Central Parking to terminal E, which is a straight shot- would take about 10-15 minutes. |

If you're bogged down with carryons, I'd get one of those $3 carts. The MassPort bus works, too, and I think you have plenty of time (including for your checked bags), but I would walk. |

Absolutley! We always carry a bag for the first day or so. We're also going to attach our itinerary in the event the bags do miss a connection. With any luck, they'll arrive before we sale. If not, perhaps we'll have them by the next port.
Guess it's part of the "adventure" of traveling. |
