Metro code question

When referencing NYC in fare rules, does that apply to EWR also? Or does it only apply to NYC metro airports LGA/JFK?

Thanks.

In general, NYC includes LGA, JFK, EWR, sometimes HPN, et al, but it varies by each airline's definition and sometimes by the particular rules of an certain fare.

NYC is LGA and JFK only. Usually, NYC, EWR, HPN and ISP are co-terminals with one another.

If a fare is applicable to only LGA, or only JFK, the fare is a NYC fare with an airport-specific rule. A NYC fare cannot be used to fly to EWR (except maybe as a standby).
