It is possible that I only get this page cannot be displayed.... I know my ISP is not the culprit since I can surf all of the web OK...

I have been using my hotmail account just fine recently, including today.

Have you tried to pop in instead of using the web? Sometimes one works when the other doesn't.

Not Hotmail, but I couldn't get into my secondary email account since yesterday and when I finally got in just two minutes ago everything was gone - everything. Ugh

If it's really "cannot find server," it sounds like a DNS problem. Does http://207.68.172.239 work?

Microsofts servers are being attacked by the Mydoom.C virus, MSN messenger is down for most people, as are many of the other MSN sites.

Had to reinstall Outlook Xprs 6 on two XP Pro PCs at work today after installing the latest patch last week; launching it caused the PC to completely hang...no softboot available, terminate program window wouldn't come up in task manager. Had to reset system w/o shutting down.

I uninstalled the patch and Outlook Xprs 6, then reinstalled it from XP Pro SP1 and all seems ok now. Access to Hotmail through msn.com was fine, but couldn't use Outlook. I keep McAfee software current, but I wonder if this latest worm has something to do with it...or another buggy MS patch?

Yes, just trying to figure out why things were down in Gaucho's particular case. If not DNS, someone might be defensively dropping packets from LACNIC ranges, might just be a flooded upstream connection, etc.

Yeah, but let's continue in OMNI. This is not TravelBuzz! material and does not belong here.

See you over in OMNI...
