Does anyone know if there are ever any low priced fares offered between BCN and PRG in the summer? Best I can find right now is about $420.... way too much.

Connect through BRS, EMA, NCL, or STN depending on layover time.

I believe Easyjet does not transfer luggage even between its own flights (not sure about this), so budget enough time to collect luggage and check-in again at the transfer airport.

By buying early (fares for this summer are not loaded yet), prices should be eminently reasonable. FYI, those tickets are non-refundable.

The whole fare if booked today would cost you one way, $ 33.73+58.57= $ 92.30

If you want such a cheap trip you have to book today as every day may get more expensive. Allow enough time to switch planes at London Stansted as the air trafic can be quite heavy.

Now that IS good fare! I was really hoping for a direct (non-stop) flight. For that, I'd be willing to pay a little bit more.

There is no direct flight near that price.

Swiss is starting a new price offensive in the papers this morning. You will have a stop in Zürich but I am not sure they'll be as cheap, but try right now. Swiss.com.

Opodo is owned by British Airways, Air France, Alitalia, Iberia, KLM, Lufthansa, Aer Lingus, Austrian Airlines, Finnair and Amadeus. The site won't list Easyjet or Ryanair, but will give you a listing of larger airlines...

If you are coming from the USA, oneworld has a European air pass with segments starting at (I think it's still) $75 each and going up to about $150 each. You need to buy two segments as a minimum. It includes some airlines not in oneworld, so you might be able to get BCN-ZRH-PRG.

The price won't be as cheap as EasyJet, but it might be more convenient. I've used them several times when the ORD-LHR fare has been low and I've wanted to do an open jaw to two destinations on the Continent.

I wonder why people always refer to Opodo for cheap fares...
My experience shows that they are way too expensive in comparison to airlines or smaller travel agencies with a homepage.

My last enquiry was a business fare from Europe to the USA for 2 and they came up with a price exceeding by $ 1'500.- the one offered by BA...

I use Easyjet a lot over LH and KLM now, they have without doubt become the best of the low cost carriers and check in times at Stansted are FAST. If you use the route via Newcastle it will be even faster as this is a small airport. There is no difference in quality between Easyjet KL & LH. In fact you are more likely to have a better plane and seat on Easyjet and they only use 737's where for example KLM fly very old and small equipment on these routes. LH tend to use 737's but the seats are tiny and legroom does not exist.

For this price, I would take EasyJet, BUT...

Do be aware that, if your first leg is delayed and you miss the second, the response will be: 'tough'. You will have to wait and pay for a new flight. That's the deal.

Like most frequent flyers, I use resources including Opodo to see a variety of fares in order that I can drill down on a particular airline's website to search for even better fares... That's how I got great BA fares for June on two different itineraries for myself and daughter... One from LGW - MAD/return, then later in the month for LHR - PRG/return.

London to St Petersburg over New Year (same dates).

Travelocity £1,400 with SAS via Stockholm.

BA nonstop £1,250.

Aeroflot £950 including long connection through CDG on the return.

Opodo £320 with CSA through Prague.

Enough said !!!!!!!
