In Atlanta, besides the location at Crown Road, the Forsyth Street Post Office downtown (near the greyhound station, the city jail, and the Garnett MARTA station) is open until 8pm during the week.

The main post office for all of Alaska is here in Anchorage and is at the airport. It's most definitely open 24/7/365.

No longer any 24-hour Post Offices in Salt Lake City!
 

I just happened across the notice (posted 10 years ago!) regarding the 24-hour post office at Salt Lake International Airport.
That is no longer a 24-hour office- it closes at 7:00 pm Mountain time, and there are no longer any 24-hour post offices or even staffed mail-collection centers anywhere in the state of Utah.
Just FYI, so someone doesn't get burned by outdated information.

For the very reasons you gave, the FlyerTalk Rules and Guidelines request members to not bump up old threads. If anything has changed in the last ten years, it's postal service hours and facilities, not to mention rates.
